Quarterback Kyler Murray recently deleted multiple Instagram feeds, leading to speculation about his future. But now it seems that all this is just a false alarm.
Arizona Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill said on his Friday radio show that he had a conversation with Kyler Murray on Thursday night and confirmed that outside speculation about Kyler Murray was inconsistent with his own account.
“I’m on the side of ‘I love him’ and I know he’s going to get better,” said Michael Bidwill.
Kyler Murray is entering the fourth year of his rookie deal, and the Arizona Cardinals are also expected to exercise his fifth-year option. However, Kyler Murray can start discussing the contract extension with the team this offseason. Michael Bidwill said: “It’s a complex process and it will take some time. But Kyler Murray is part of our long-term plan.”
In addition to Kyler Murray, passing rusher Chandler Jones is also an issue. Arizona Cardinals will have to adjust cap space if they want to keep him.
