On Friday, it was reported that former Chicago Bears coach Matt Nagy will join the Kansas City Chiefs, returning to coaching under teacher Andy Reid.
Matt Nagy, the Chicago Bears head coach for the past four years, was fired last month. He will serve as a senior assistant and quarterbacks coach at the Kansas City Chiefs.
Matt Nagy, 43, previously played for the Kansas City Chiefs for five seasons (2013-2017) and served as the Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator during Patrick Mahomes’ rookie season as a backup for Alex Smith.
Matt Nagy went 34-31 in the regular season with the Chicago Bears and 6-11 last season. He led the Chicago Bears to the National North Championship in the 2018 season and was named Head Coach of the Year. Matt Nagy led the Chicago Bears to the playoffs twice, but both came out of nowhere.
