Los Angeles Rams safety Taylor Rapp failed the concussion screening process on Saturday and will miss Monday night’s wild-card game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Taylor Rapp was injured in an overtime loss to the San Francisco 49ers, along with another starting safety, Jordan Fuller, in the same game. Coach Sean McVay said Taylor Rapp’s absence was a “huge loss” for the team, but “he’s trying to get back as soon as possible”.
Jordan Fuller (113) and Taylor Rapp (94) are the Los Angeles Rams’ two leading tacklers this season, and Taylor Rapp is tied with cornerback Jalen Ramsey for first in interceptions this season. Former 37-year-old veteran Eric Weddle is back and signed with the Los Angeles Rams and has been confirmed for Monday’s game.
Jordan Fuller is also on-the-spot playmaker for the Los Angeles Rams, and Sean McVay said linebacker Troy Reeder will take on that role. The Los Angeles Rams’ current roster also includes safety guards Nick Scott and Terrell Burgess.
