On Thursday, it was reported that the Minnesota Vikings will hire Ed Donatell as defensive coordinator.
The Minnesota Vikings are expected to hire Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell as their new head coach after the Super Bowl. Ed Donatell’s 31 years of coaching experience in the NFL would be helpful.
Ed Donatell, 65, spent 10 years as the league’s defensive coordinator, having spent the past three years with the Denver Broncos. Denver Broncos had the eighth-fewest defensive yards advanced last season and the third-lowest points scored.
The Minnesota Vikings also announced the same day that it would hire former Indianapolis Colts general manager Ryan Grigson. Ryan Grigson will join the management team as a senior personnel employee. He previously worked with the Cleveland Browns alongside new Minnesota Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah.
