With second-line injuries continuing, the Los Angeles Rams had to turn to retired safety Eric Weddle. The 37-year-old made an emergency comeback, participating in the team’s entire playoffs and eventually winning the Super Bowl.
Eric Weddle suffered a torn pectoral muscle in the Super Bowl, but continued to finish the game with five tackles. He said he would return to retirement and “return to my daily life”.
Eric Weddle will join the team for the 2022 season and begin serving as head coach of the varsity football team after the season, the local high school in San Diego announced Saturday.
Eric Weddle was the Chargers’ second-round pick in 2007 and joined the Baltimore Ravens after eight years. The six-time Pro Bowl veteran will impart a wealth of experience to high school students.
