Georgia defensive tackle Jordan Davis ran a 40-yard dash in 4.78 seconds during Saturday’s NFL fitness camp.
The results alone may not be impressive, but Jordan Davis is 1.98 meters tall and weighs 154.6 kilograms (341 pounds). Among players over 330 pounds, Jordan Davis is the fastest since 2006 and probably the fastest in his class.
Jordan Davis’ athleticism isn’t just about speed. His standing long jump of 3.12 meters (10 feet 3 inches) is the longest record for a player over 300 pounds.
Of the more than 330 Bond players, only Greg Robinson and defensive tackle Dontari Poe have scored within five seconds.
Jordan Davis, one of this year’s potential first-round picks, was named to the SEC All-NBA First Team last season. Played at least eight games in three of his four years in college.
